Which version is for your Mac?

To check your chip: click the Apple menu () → About This Mac. If it says "Apple M1" (or M2, M3, M4), you need the Apple Silicon build. If it says "Intel Core", use the Intel build.

! macOS Gatekeeper Warning

macOS may say "Stremio cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." This is a standard Gatekeeper warning for apps not distributed through the Mac App Store.

To bypass this:

  1. Right-click (or Control-click) the Stremio app in Applications
  2. Select Open from the context menu
  3. Click Open in the dialog that appears

You only need to do this once. After the first launch, Stremio will open normally.

3 Sign In and Start Watching

Sign in with your free Stremio account. Your watch history and addon settings will sync across all your devices automatically. Head to the Addons section to install content sources and start watching.
